Notki w książeczce napisał Doug Adams, który dokładnie przeanalizował utwory oraz motywy muzyczne. Muzykę do przebojowej serii napisał Howard Shore. On też dyrygował London Philharmonic Orchestra, która nagrała kompozycje do drugiego filmu z cyklu.
