Tym razem uwaga artystów skierowana została w kierunku opery Didone abbandonata Leonarda Vinci w opracowaniu Jerzego Fryderyka Haendla (HWV A12). Premiera Didone abbandonata miała miejsce w Teatro delle Dame (Teatro Alibert) w Rzymie.14 stycznia 1726. Jej sukces ugruntował sławę Vinciego jako kompozytora dramma per musica.
