W 1975 roku brytyjsko-amerykańska poprockowa grupa Fleetwood Mac liczyła sobie już osiem lat i cieszyła się niemałym uznaniem. Nie mogła jednak pochwalić się wielkim komercyjnym sukcesem. To zmienił wydany w lipcu 1975 roku imienny album. Było to pierwsze wydawnictwo istniejącego do dziś wcielenia zespołu! I szybko okazało się zarówno komercyjnym, jak i artystycznym triumfem. Tylko w USA album aż pięć razy pokrył się platyną. Przyniósł też niezapomniane kompozycje jak "Landslide", "Say You Love Me", czy "Rhiannon". Przypomnijmy, że skład Fleetwood Mac tworzyli wówczas (i tworzą do dziś): Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie i Christine McVie.
