Carl Schuricht (1880 – 1967) był jednym z najwybitniejszych dyrygentów swoich czasów. 8-płytowy album zawiera jego najwspanialsze dokonania fonograficzne, w tym poddane ponownemu masteringowi słynne nagrania cyklu Symfonii Beethovena w interpretacji Schuricht’a dyrygującego Orchestre de la Societe des Concerts du Conservatoire (poprzedniczki Orchestre de Paris) wraz z jego wspaniałymi wykonaniami III, VIII i IX Symfonii Brucknera z Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Nagrania te stanowią jak gdyby artystyczny testament tego wielkiego dyrygenta, który budził nie tylko zachwyt, ale także wiele kontrowersji. Być może przyczyniła się do tego jego sceniczna osobowość – Schuricht był absolutnym zaprzeczeniem showmana. Wychowany w wielkiej tradycji niemieckiej dyrygentury znalazł swoją własną drogę pomiędzy spuścizną romantyczną, z Furtwanglerem na czele, a bardziej obiektywną szkołą utożsamianą głównie z Erichem Kleiberem oraz wczesnym Otto Klempererem.

Oddajemy w Państwa ręce kilka naszych płyt w nadziei, że znajdziecie odrobinę czasu na ich wysłuchanie. Czy warto – nie wiem… Mamy do nich stosunek rodzicielski. Niektóre rodziły się w bólach i pocie czoła, inne zaś z łatwością i niemalże w biegu, ale czasem długo czekały na nadanie im imienia. Tworzyły je różne osoby na swój obraz i podobieństwo, wypracowując wspólne, nasze, rozpoznawalne brzmienie. Te płyty powstawały w różnych okolicznościach, dlatego ich wymowa i nastrój są odmienne. Zawsze jednak były nasze, dla nas najważniejsze, najpiękniejsze i najmądrzejsze. Pewnie niektóre nieco się zestarzały, ale to chyba naturalne… Mało kto młodnieje z czasem, choć niekiedy jego upływ dodaje urody… Dziś nie wszystko nam się w nich podoba i parę rzeczy byśmy poprawili, podogrywali, zaaranżowali i wykonali inaczej, ale oczywiście w życiu się do tego nie przyznamy. To chyba zrozumiałe, rodzice kochają swoje dzieci za wszystko i mimo wszystko… Zdarza się natomiast, że na starość sami dziecinnieją (i to też można usłyszeć w naszych nagraniach). Byłoby miło, gdybyście odnaleźli odrobinę siebie na tych płytach… czego sobie i Państwu życzę. Wojciech Waglewski 30 lat istnienia zespołu Voo Voo to okoliczność szczególna. To wielkie święto zespołu i jego wielbicieli. Wydawca płyty firma ART2 Music uznała, że w tę szczególną rocznice, winna jest fanom zespołu specjalne wydawnictwo. Wydając BOX 30 lat Voo Voo postanowiła rozpocząć proces wznawiania kompletnej dyskografii zespołu, uzupełnianej nieznanymi, niepublikowanymi materiałami archiwalnymi, ale też zupełnie nowymi, jak zapis koncertu z Jarocina 2015 z udziałem wspaniałych gości. ECM New Series prezentuje pierwszy album poświęcony Dobrince Tabakovej, kompozytorce urodzonej w 1980 r. w Bułgarii, choć wzrastającej i kształcącej się w Londynie. W muzyce Tabakovej – bogatej pod względem melodycznym, fakturalnie ciekawej i wyrazistej emocjonalnie – drzemie stare i nowe, a raczej znane w nieznanym i odwrotnie.
