Z okazji 20-lecia istnienia, grupa Lambchop wydaje specjalny album "What Another Man Spills". Po raz pierwszy po pierwotnym wydaniu 20 lat temu, album będzie tłoczony na winylu! "What Another Man Spills" (1998) stanowi kamień milowy w karierze Lambchop, ale nie we współczesnym znaczeniu "przełomowego" wydania. Opierając się na podstawach, które kiedyś brzmiały skrzypiąco niemalże dosłownie, album rozszerza się o próbne manewry, które podjęli z płytą "Thriller" z poprzedniego roku (1997) i gestykuluje pewnie w kierunku swojego świetnego następcy "Nixon", który dotarłby w 2000 roku do dzikiego uznania i wcześniej niewyobrażalnego komercyjnego sukcesu. Kiedy we wrześniu 1998 roku ukazywał się czwarty album Lambchop, trudno się było zorientować kim lub czym jest ten zespół. Przynoszący wiele stylów muzycznych, czasami nieoczekiwanych, był z jednej strony zaskoczeniem, a z drugiej kontynuacją unikalnego stylu zainicjowanego na wcześniejszych wydawnictwach.

2112 is archetypal high-concept heavy/art-rock, featuring an interconnected suite of songs and a futuristic science fiction-inspired lyrical theme (courtesy of drummer/sole lyricist Neil Peart). When it came to '70s sci fi rock epics these guys were capable of giving Hawkwind and Jefferson Starship a run for their money. The first half of the album features "2112" proper, a series of interrelated tunes that paint a portrait of a 1984/Brave New World-style future, where music and emotion are outlawed. Ultimately, our hero discovers a guitar and uses it to fight the powers that be, all to the accompaniment of vaguely Led Zeppelin-derived heavy rock riffs and daunting time signatures. The final five tunes are unrelated to the concept piece but continue in a similar musical vein, though a little balladry is mixed in towards the end.

Johannes Matthias Sperger, austriacki kompozytor i kontrabasista, urodził się w Feldsbergu w 1750 roku. Pierwszy kontakt z muzyką miał miejsce w teatrze muzycznym w Feldsbergu, następnie Sperger wyjechał do Wiednia. gdzie zdobył dalsze wykształcenie u Friedricha Pischelbergera. W swojej karierze muzyka zdobył uznanie, jako solista, grywał również w nadwornych zespołach orkiestrowych. Sperger był jednym z pierwszych kontrabasistów, którzy stosowali naprzemiennie struny solowe oraz orkiestrowe.Założona przez Wernera Ehrhardta w 2004 roku orkiestra L’arte del mondo spacjalizuje się w wykonawstwie utworów na instrumentach historycznych, jednakże nie stroni od wykonywania koncertów na instrumentarium współczesnym wykonując dzieła kompozytorów XX wiecznych. Zespół szybko zyskał uznanie wśród melomanów i niemieckiej krytyki muzycznej występując na licznych festiwalach: Ludwigsburg Schlossfestspiele, Bonn’s Beethoven festival, Rheingau Musikfestival, Musikfestspielen Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, a także w takich salach jak berliński Konzerthaus czy Cité de la musique w Paryżu. Lista nagrań zespołu zawiera wiele światowych prawykonań, rekonstrukcji, utworów orkiestrowych, oper i oratoriów. Nagranie opery komicznej Nicolasa Mehula pt.”L’Irato ou l’Emporté”, a także “Liaisons” z sopranistką Chen Reiss zdobyły prestiżową francuską nagrodę “Diapason”.
