Wspaniały album z delikatną, wprawiającą w osłupienie muzyką Tri Nguyen'a, mistrza wietnamskiej zither dan-tranh. Stosując pradawne techniki i nauczania pochodzące z różnych regionów kraju, jak również wprowadzając okazjonalnie różne instrumenty wietnamskie i z całego świata, Tri ukazuje nam piękno i różnorodność dan-tranh.
Luigi Ludovico Madonis (1695-1777) był uczniem Antonio Vivaldiego. Około roku 1720 był uważany za najlepszego skrzypka w Wenecji. W roku 1733 Madonis przybył do Petersburga gdzie został członkiem kapeli na carskim dworze. W 1738 roku wydał zbiór dwunastu sonat skrzypcowych, które były dedykowane ówczesnej władczyni Rosji. Niniejsze nagranie zawiera sześć sonat z tego cyklu. Są one napisane w indywidualnym stylu kompozytora łączącym elementy muzyki rosyjskiej ze stylem Antonio Vivaldiego. Wykonawcy to Maria Krestinskaya - skrzypce, Imbi Tarum - wiolonczela i Pavel Serbin - klawesyn.

Valery Gergiev’s performances and recordings of Mahler’s symphonies with the LSO have garnered international acclaim. They have performed the works in Europe, North America and the Far East and their recordings have received numerous awards. The symphonies were originally released between 2008 and 2011 and will now be made available together for the first time as a beautifully packaged 10 SACD box set.Each of Mahler’s symphonies could be considered a masterpiece, employing large orchestras, matching his view of the symphony as an all-encompassing form of musical expression. Mahler drew inspiration widely, but certain themes recur frequently – wisdom, love, grief, mortality and death.Throughout the Autumn Valery Gergiev will conduct the complete Brahms and Szymanowski cycles with the LSO in London, Edinburgh, Paris and Luxembourg. They also tour together to the USA and Germany. In addition to his LSO performances, Gergiev visits the USA in October with the Mariinsky and conducts gala performances with the World Orchestra for Peace in New York and Chicago. In November he embarks on a tour of the Far East visiting South Korea and Japan with the Mariinsky.Gergiev’s recent recordings on LSO Live include an acclaimed recording of Rachmaninov’s Symphonic Dances. Forthcoming LSO Live releases include Tchaikovsky’s Symphonies Nos 1-3 in October 2012. Recent releases on the Mariinsky label include Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No 1 performed by Tchaikovsky Competition winner Daniil Trifonov.
