Probably copied around 1200, this songbook was discarded within a generation or so and used as flyleaves for another book. It was poorly written, decayed and damp, marred by stains and the ravages of time, but because the pages were being used for another purpose, some unknown benefactor preserved this wealth of music and poetry. The songbook then remained hidden for some six hundred years.  This recording is an almost complete anthology of songs from the booklet. It isn’t known where it was copied, but it is believed to be an important religious foundation that housed by chance a few unusually keen singers. Many of the pieces are associated with major feasts of the liturgical year, including some which fall in the intensely festive period between Christmas and New Year’s Day. Największe przeboje Stinga na płycie zatytułowanej „My Songs” na którą trafią największe przeboje 17-krotnego zdobywcy nagrody Grammy w nowych aranżacjach.  Jak wyjaśnia sam artysta: „My Songs” to moje życie opowiedziane piosenkami. Niektóre z nich powstały na nowo, inne nieznacznie zmienione, ale każda z nich brzmi współcześnie”. Utwory na „My Songs” zostały dostosowane do 2019, ale wciąż nie tracą ducha oryginału. Na wydawnictwie usłyszymy między innymi takie przeboje jak „Englishman In New York”, „Fields Of Gold”, „Shape Of My Heart”, „Every Breath You Take”, „Roxanne” oraz „Message In A Bottle”. Do albumu dołączono osobiste notatki napisane przez samego artystę, w których muzyk zdradza historie związane z powstaniem konkretnych piosenek, jak również opisuje okoliczności nagrywania. Krążek jest celebracją twórczości Stinga, zarówno solowej, jak i z The Police. Za produkcję „My Songs” odpowiadają Martin Kierszenbaum (Sting, Lady Gaga, Robyn), Dave Audé (Bruno Mars, Selena Gomez) oraz Jerry Fuentes (The Last Bandoleros). Miksami zajął się Robert Orton (Lana Del Rey, Mumford & Sons), a inżynierią Tony Lake (Sting, Shaggy). „My Songs” ukaże się na CD i winylu. Zespół Lankum (wcześniej znany jako Lynched) do tej pory zyskał wierne grono odbiorców i zasłynął z niesamowitych koncertów. Teraz, po raz pierwszy dla wytwórni Rough Trade, wydał album "Between The Earth And Sky". Ten kwartet w swojej muzyce łączy charakterystyczne, czterogłosowe harmonie wokalne z piszczałkami, koncertyną, rosyjskim akordeonem, skrzypcami i gitarą. W ich repertuarze słychać humor dublińskiej muzyki dancehallowej i ulicznej, podróżnicze ballady, tradycje irlandzkiej i amerykańskiej muzyki tanecznej oraz własne oryginalne podejście. Grupę tworzą bracia Ian i Daragh Lynch, których wspomagają Cormac MacDiarmada i Radie Peat. Gdy nie są w trasie, Ian uczy na temat irlandzkiego folkloru i muzycznych tradycji na University College Dublin. Z kolei Cormac i Radie dorastali jako mistrzowie gry na piszczałkach i koncertynie. Jednak Lankum nie tworzą muzyki czysto tradycyjnej. W takim samym stopniu jak The Pogues tworzą muzykę miejską.
