Kamera towarzyszy artystom w podróży, pokazując proces tworzenia muzyki w zależności od zmieniających się kontekstów. Oboje muzycy pochodzą z zupełnie różnych światów: Dino Saluzzi odnajduje się w stylistyce muzyki południowoamerykańskiej, w tradycji tanga i muzyki tradycyjnej, Anja Lechner – w europejskiej muzyce klasycznej. Pomimo to od połowy lat 90. Artyści współpracują ze sobą, począwszy od albumu Kultrum, na którym Saluzzi wystąpił wraz z Rosamunde Quartet. El Encuentro odkrywa także zwykłe życie podróżników, widoczne podczas koncertów, prób, sesji nagraniowych, podczas prywatnych spotkań, w których często widzimy muzyków, którzy także wystąpili w filmie, jak: kompozytor Tigran Mansurian, aranżer Levon Eskenian, pianista George Gruntz oraz brat Dina, saksofonista i klarnecista, Felix Saluzzi. Punkt kulminacyjny podróży przypadł na koncert Metropole Orchestra w Amsterdamie w Musiekgebouw. Artysta, który stworzył swój niepowtarzalny idiom stylistyczny, mówi: „Podstawą mojej twórczości są nadzieje i wspomnienia”. Dzięki temu dostajemy zawsze zjawisko wykraczające daleko w przyszłość ze znajomym posmakiem tego, co było.
The Binchois Consort presents a disc which demonstrates the beauty and grandeur of the music performed daily in princely chapels of fifteenth-century England. It illustrates the sheer variety of types of singing, some of it virtuosic in its brilliance. Specifically it offers sacred ceremonial pieces written either for Henry V himself, as King, or to invoke the saintly patron of the House of Lancaster, John of Bridlington, as well as a selection of intricate motets. Scholarly notes by Philip Weller place this music firmly in its historical context, and the Binchois performances represent the highest standard of early music singing of the present day. Every nuance is considered and each phrase is relished in this immaculately polished disc.
