W połowie XVI wieku pojawiła się w Hiszpanii arpa de dos órdenes - harfa z krzyżowym naciągiem strun, by w stuleciu pomiędzy 1650 a 1750 rokiem stać się prawdziwie królewskim instrumentem na całym Półwyspie Iberyjskim. Wykorzystywana nie tylko w kościołach jako akompaniament liturgiczny, okazała się też niezastąpiona w muzyce świeckiej, zwłaszcza we wszystkich jej formach teatralnych. Płyta niniejsza jest owocem autorskiego projektu muzycznego znakomitej hiszpańskiej harfistki Sary Águeda, gdzie bardzo silnie zaznaczony został kontekst sceniczny muzyki, w formie nieco przewrotnej gry wyobraźni, która swoisty Teatr Harfy buduje wokół bardzo starannie poukładanych fragmentów różnych dzieł złotej epoki tego instrumentu.
