„The Artists Den” to renomowana seria muzyczna, znana z prezentacji kameralnych koncertów niezwykłych artystów w nietypowych oprawach. W projekcie wzięli udział m.in. John Legend, alt-j, Alabama Shakes, Ed Sheeran, Imagine Dragons, Lady Antebellum, The Killers, Zac Brown Band czy Shawn Mendes. Koncerty odbywały się m.in. w Graceland, świątyni masońskiej, kinie niemym funkcjonującym w latach 30., Metropooitan Museum of Art w Nowym Jorku czy nieczynnej fabryce okien na Brooklynie. Powstało 70 odcinków programu. 17 lutego 2013 Soundgarden zakończyło wyprzedaną zimową trasę koncertową promującą „King Animal”, pierwszy album studyjny grupy po ponad 16-letniej przerwie, za sprawą występu „Live From The Artists Den” zarejestrowanym w słynnym Wiltern w Los Angeles. Ku zadowoleniu publiczności zespół połączył w setliście nowe utwory z klasykami oraz utworami, które nieczęsto pojawiały się na koncertach. Fani formacji od dawna domagali się oficjalnego wydawnictwa z tego występu. Niemal 2,5-godzinny występ zawiera 29 utworów, w tym 21 takich, które nigdy wcześniej nie pojawiły się na koncertowych wydawnictwach Soundgarden. „Blind Dogs” zespół zagrał po raz pierwszy w karierze.
