Dziesiąta część nagrania 15 edycji ekskluzywnego konkursu międzynarodowego pod patronatem Fryderyka Chopina rozpoczęła się 2. 10 zakończyła 24.10.2005 roku w Warszawie, organizatorem konkursu jest Towarzystwo im. Fryderyka Chopina. W konkursie wzięło udział 80 pianistów z 18 krajów. Konkurs ten jest szczególny ponieważ zmieniono w nim reguły zamiast trzech etapów i finału, wprowadzono dwa etapy i finał. Dyrektor konkursu to Albert Grudziński natomiast dyrektor-koordynator to Tomasz Stancki.
