Jak udowodniła zarówno w “Il barbiere di Siviglia”, jak i w “Il turco in Italia”, Callas, wielka tragiczna diva, potrafiła swoje umiejętności aktorskie wykorzystać także w komedii. Nagrania dokonano w 1957 r. (rok po premierze produkcji w La Scala). W obsadzie znalazły się największe gwiazdy, obok Callas – Tito Gobbi i Luigi Alva. Callas wcieliła się w rolę Rozyny w oryginalnej mezzo-sopranowej wersji „Una voce poco fa”. Nagranie jest cudownym połączeniem elegancji i dowcipu.
