Pochodzący z Rosji wybitny kompozytor Igor Fiodorowicz Strawinski, urodzony w 1882 roku w Oranienbaumie, zmarła w 1971 roku w Nowym Jorku. Prócz komponowaniem, był wirtuozem pianina, oraz trudnił się dyrygenturą. Komponował on muzykę poważną. Zespół Dobre Ludzie od sześciu lat łączy niebanalne teksty ze współczesnymi gatunkami muzycznymi. Tytuł nowego krążka „Dalej” sugeruje, że album jest krokiem naprzód w stosunku do debiutu sprzed czterech lat – propozycją jeszcze dojrzalszą, bardzo spójną pod względem muzycznym i tekstowym, a jednocześnie wielobarwną, swobodnie łączącą elementy rocka, piosenki poetyckiej czy – miejscami – jazzu. Całości dopełnia gościnny udział chóru Gospel Sound i dwóch zespołów smyczkowych. Podobnie jak w przypadku poprzedniego albumu, wszystkie teksty napisał muzykujący poeta i dziennikarz – Szymon Babuchowski, który jest także wokalistą Dobrych Ludzi. „Dalej” to płyta drogi – rozpisana na piosenki poruszająca opowieść o sile miłości, która wszystko przetrzyma i nigdy nie ustaje.

W październiku 2011 kompozytorka Sofia Gubaidulina obchodziła 80 urodziny . Z tej okazji wytwórnia ECM przygotowała album zatytułowany The Canticle of the Sun. Płyta składa sie z dwóch cześci pierwsząz nich jest The Lyre of the Orpheus nagrane w 2006 roku z Gidonem Kremerem jako solista i orkiestrą Kremerata Baltica. Druga częśc to nagranie The Canticle of The Sun zawierające  jubileuszową kompozycję – utwór skomponowany z okazji 70. urodzin Mścisława Rostropowicza, które obchodził w 1997 roku.  Nagranie odbyło się podczas festiwalu w Lockenhaus w 2010 roku.

Following his sensational CD with Haydn sonatas on Haydn’s piano in Haydn’s home (Gramola 98847), the American fortepiano specialist resident in Vienna, Richard Fuller, has now released a programme with piano pieces by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. The works by the composer apostrophized by Mozart in the words ‘He is the father, and we are the children’ and a representative of the ‘sentimental style’ are testimonies of an expressive and very private diction. They mostly derive from the collection Für Kenner und Liebhaber, the fifth part of which is reproduced here in full, as well as a final fantasia of 1787, a kind of requiem ‘for himself’, subtitled ‘C.P.E. Bach’s feelings’.
