Deutsche Harmonia Mundi zaprasza do wyłuchania albumu "Pace e guerra", zawierającego arie i duety kompozytorów XVIII wieku napisane dla jednego z największych kastratów w historii muzyki Antonio Maria Bernacchi (1685-1756).Wykonawcami są kontratenor Terry Wey oraz Bach Consort Wien pod dyrekcją Rubéna Dubrovskiego. Urodzony w 1985 roku w Bernie Terry Wey swe pierwsze kroki wokalne stawiał jako solista słynnego chóru Wiener Sängerknaben. Od 2003 roku poświęcił się całkowicie karierze kontratenora, wykonując czołowe partie w takich operach jak: Rinaldo (Handel), Andronico (Legrenzi), Roma & Religione (Landi), Ruggiero (Vivaldi), Oberon (Britten), Echnaton (Glass). Jego zamiłowanie do muzyki renesansu skierowało artystę do założenia zespołu wokalnego Cinquecento, z którym z powodzeniem koncertuje i nagrywa.
Od czasu zwycięstwa w konkursie Czajkowskiego w Moskwie w 1986 roku Mario Brunello stał się jednym z czołowych współczesnych wiolonczelistów. Grając na różnych instrumentach, Brunello od kilku lat interesuje się także światem historycznie udokumentowanej praktyki wykonawczej i ponownym odkryciem czterostrunowej „wiolonczeli piccolo”. Ten instrument, nieco mniejszy niż wiolonczela, jest dziś znany przede wszystkim z niektórych kościelnych kantat Bacha, ale z pewnością była bardzo popularny w XVII i XVIII wieku. Sonat i partity na skrzypce solo Bacha inauguruje współpracę wiolonczelisty z wytwórnią Arcana. „Bach Brunello Series” będzie się składała z trzech płyt CD, na których najważniejsze utwory skrzypcowe Bacha zostaną wykonane na wiolonczeli piccolo.
