Legendarny hammondzista Dr. Lonnie Smith przedstawia All in My Mind – porywający album koncertowy nagrany w Nowym Jorku z okazji obchodów 75 urodzin artysty. Smith chciał, aby "All in My Mind" był nagrany na żywo. Uwielbiam to." "All in My Mind" rozpoczyna się odważną interpretacją "JuJu" Wayne’a Shortera – utworu pochodzącego z albumu o tym samym tytule, wydanego przez Blue Note w 1965 roku. Smith bierze też na warsztat hit "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover" Paula Simona, rozszerzając go do 10-minutowej wersji z Joe Dysonem w roli drugiego bębniarza. Opracowuje również nową formę swojej dawnej kompozycji "All in My Mind". W tym utworze triu towarzyszy wokalistka o zdumiewającym głosie - Alicia Olatuja. "Grając, opowiadam historię swojego życia. Jestem, jaki jestem – to najważniejszy przekaz". Artysta podkreśla, jak ważną postacią jest dla niego prezydent Blue Note - Don Was, który wyprodukował albumy "Evolution" i "All in My Mind". "Wielu producentów, z którymi współpracowałem nie rozumie muzyków. Don jest inny. Nie oczekuje ode mnie niczego, poza byciem sobą. Wspiera i szanuje moją kreatywność."
