Buckshot LeFonque to zespół muzyczny stworzony przez Branforda Marsalisa. Nazwa "Buckshot LeFonque" pochodzi od pseudonimu saksofonisty jazzowego Juliana Adderleya. Założyciel Buckshot LeFonque miał stworzyć nowy gatunek, będący połączeniem klasycznego jazzu z rockiem, popem, R&B i hip-hopem. W 1994 roku Branford Marsalis postanowił nieco zamieszać na ówczesnej scenie muzycznej, tworząc nową formację, która miała w swoim brzmieniu łączyć elementy klasycznego jazzu z niemalże każdym innym gatunkiem znanym ludzkości. Pierwszy album Buckshot LeFonque z 1994 roku przyniósł wspaniale wykonaną, pełną energii i pasji, muzykę niezwykle bogatą aranżacyjnie. Utwory różnią się od siebie w stylu, ale łączą je silne więzi w swoim geniuszu muzycznym.
