Sevendust nie zawodzą swoich fanów między innymi dlatego, że nie robili gwałtownych stylistycznych wolt w karierze, lecz trzymali się raz obranej ścieżki, od czasu do czasu dodając na niej nowe elementy. "Na tej płycie nie ma niczego nowego - wszystko to, co robiliśmy do tej pory. Może jest trochę bardziej mroczna" – mówi szczerze Clint. Jako pierwsza płytę "Black Out The Sun" promowała piosenka "Decay".
