Hot Cakes to tytuł nowego krążka zespołu The Darkness. Album zawiera jedenaście nowych kawałków, w tym cover piosenki „Street Spirit (Fade Out)” z repertuaru Radiohead. Album został wyprodukowany przez członków zespołu, Justina Hawkinsa i Dana Hawkinsa, z pomocą długoletniego współpracownika Nicka Brine’a, natomiast mixem całości zajął się Bob Ezrin. Justin Hawkins, wokalista i gitarzysta kapeli opowiada:  „Jesteśmy dumni z nowych piosenek i nie możemy się doczekać aż fani je usłyszą. Graliśmy kilka nowych kompozycji podczas koncertów i reakcja zawsze była wspaniała.  Nagraliśmy też cover Radiohead, bo zawsze wychodził nam bardzo dobrze podczas koncertów, dlatego postanowiliśmy zarejestrować naszą interpretację w studio.
