Na liście nieobecności zwraca uwagę nazwisko Caralee McElroy (ex-Xiu Xiu), która zdecydowała się jakiś czas temu zerwać z zespołem i pozostawić swego partnera Wesa Eisolda osamotnionego przy mikrofonie. Jak pokazuje "Cherish The Light Years" na tej zmianie zespół nie tylko nie ucierpiał, ale nagrał płytę o wiele bogatszą brzmieniowo i doskonalszą melodycznie niż "Love Comes Close", a jako drugi głos świetnie sprawdziła się tu grająca też na klawiszach Jennifer Clavin. Trzon Cold Cave - który od początku tworzyli Eisold i Dominick Fernow - pozostał nienaruszony, a dopełnienie składu przez Clavin, gitarzystę Nicka Zinnera (Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs) i basistę Matta Sweeneya (Zwan, Chavez) i zaproszenie do współpracy producenta Chrisa Cody'ego (świetny album "It's A Blitz" Yeah Yeah Yeahs), dodało muzyce Cold Cave rozmachu i mocy. Dzisiaj zespołowi bliżej do dopracowanej, epickiej muzyki The Cure z okresu "Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me”.
