"Szwedzka wokalistka Rigmor Gustafsson czynnie działa na jazzowej scenie już od pierwszej połowy lat 90-tych, a pod banderą wytwórni ACT zadebiutowała w roku 2002 na płycie Nilsa Landgrena "Sentimental Journey". Rok później doczekała się swojej autorskiej płyty "I Will Wait For You", której ogromny sukces ugruntował jej silną pozycję pośród europejskich wokalistek jazzowych. Kolejne jej płyty, wypełnione m.in. utworami z repertuaru Dionnie Warwick i kompozycjami Michela Legranda oscylowały między jazzem, a tradycyjną piosenką pop. Począwszy od albumu "Alone With You" (2007), artystka coraz śmielej poczęła nagrywać swoje własne piosenki. Płyta "When You Make Me Smile" (2014) wypełniona była w większości piosenkami do jej własnej muzyki. Tak jest też w przypadku albumu wokalistki "Come Home", na którym znajdziemy aż 8 nowych autorskich utworów. Poza nimi Rigmor Gustafsson sięga po utwory Joni Mitchell ("Big Yellow Taxi"), Kate Bush ("Wuthering Heights") i Tanity Tikaram ("Twist In My Sobriety"). "Come Home" to płyta zdecydowanie odmienna pod względem instrumentacji wobec poprzedniego albumu artystki, bowiem nagrana z kameralnym trio złożonym z muzyków, z którymi szwedzka piosenkarka współpracuje od lat: Jonasa Östholma (fortepian), Martina Höpera (kontrabas) i Chrisa Montgomery (perkusja). Tym samym głos artystki zyskał zupełnie inną oprawę, zdecydowanie dobitniej ukazując jej możliwości wokalne. Gustafsson dysponuje silnym głosem, znakomitym zmysłem interpretacji i wyczuwalną w każdym wersie nadzwyczajną wrażliwością. Jej autorskie piosenki poruszają klimatem i stylistyczną złożonością. Dostojna i elegancka, a jednocześnie podszyta bluesem "I Think Of You”, melancholijne "Winter Does Not End” i "Enjoy The Day”, czy wreszcie zamykająca album tęskna i poruszająca ballada tytułowa, to utwory do których najzwyczajniej chce się wielokrotnie wracać. Czytając przed uruchomieniem płyty tytuły umieszczone na okładce, bałem się jak szwedzka wokalistka poradzi sobie z wyjątkowo specyficzną, a zarazem przepiękną piosenką "Wuthering Heights". Tymczasem Rigmor Gustafsson i z tej próby wyszła zwycięsko, choć i tak zawsze wybiorę oryginalną wersję nastoletniej Kate Bush z 1978 roku. Z kolei w "Twist In My Sobriety” charakterystyczną dla pierwowzoru Tanity Tikaram partię oboju, zastąpił akordeon gościnnie biorącej udział w nagraniu Lisy Langbackiej. Formuła jazzowego tria towarzyszącego wokalistce, to także większe pole do popisu dla każdego z instrumentalistów. Najważniejsza rola przypada fortepianowi Jonasa Ostholma, który z wielką gracją i perfekcją tworzy harmonię dla jej głosu.
