Wydana pierwotnie w 1966 roku płyta jest pierwszą skomponowaną w całości przez Ray’a Davisa i w pełni ukazującą jego wyjątkowy talent do pisania piosenek i trafnych społecznych obserwacji. Wydawnictwo zostało wzbogacone o miksy mono i stereo, wcześniej niepublikowane nagrania, alternatywne wersje znanych utworów, sesje ze studia BBC oraz krótkie wywiady z zespołem. Ta niemiecka formacja działała na muzycznej scenie w latach 1992 - 2006, a jej twórczość oscylowała w takich gatunkach jak gothic metal i heavy metal. Grupa uznana została wręcz za prekursorów niemieckiej sceny gothic metal, już za sprawą dwóch rewelacyjnie przyjętych demówek "Sharing The Grave” oraz "Darksome Thoughts”. "Diving Into Darkness” swoją premierę miał w 2000 roku i stanowi muzyczne rozwinięcie poprzedniego albumu Niemców - "Give Me Light”.
