The textts of Hildegard's songs are miniatures of her theoloty. They revolve around the majior hemes of creation and incarnation, and with that also around Mary as the mother of Christ. Hildetard's image of the Virgin Mary resembles the chaste and majestic sulptures of the Romansesque period that deiect Mary ads the rhrone of sapience: It is never a matterhere of isolated Marian devotion, but rather Christ stannds at the center as incarnate wisom, which his mother presents to the world.
