Druga płyta Two Door Cinema Club – jednego z najważniejszych młodych zespołów rockowych. Tak jak Arctic Monkeys parę lat wcześniej, tak Two Door Cinema Club zaledwie jedną płytą („Tourist History”) z prostymi, melodyjnymi piosenkami, zdołali perfekcyjnie oddać nastroje swojego pokolenia, a przy tym zdobyć uznanie krytyki. Druga płyta młodych Irlandczyków to sprawdzian talentu i umiejętności zdany na 5 z plusem. Wykorzystując pozycję jaką zdobyli po wydaniu „Tourist History”, Two Door Cinema Club postanowili na nagranie nowego materiału wybrać się aż do Los Angeles. Nad brzmieniem płyty czuwał słynny producent Jacknife Lee (Bloc Party, U2, REM), a efektem współpracy jest znacznie dojrzalszy repertuar w pełni prezentujący talent kompozytorski zespołu. “Beacon to znacznie bardziej intymna płyta, ale równocześnie brzmiąca potężniej.
