Prawdopodobnie jeden z najbardziej cenionych i kochanych zespołów ostatnich 20 lat, zarówno przez fanów, jak i ich muzycznych rówieśników - The Beta Band założony w St. Andrews w Szkocji w 1996 roku, wydali w stosunkowo krótkim czasie trzy albumy i trzy EP-ki w latach 1996-2004, które dały im status jednej z najbardziej cenionych i ekscytujących formacji swojego pokolenia. The Beta Band to jeden z najbardziej innowacyjnych i niepowtarzalnych zespołów przełomu wieków. Ich wyjątkowe brzmienie sprawiało że byli niepodobni do niczego co działo się na muzycznej scenie w czasach istnienia grupy, czyli między 1996 a 2004 rokiem. “Hot Shots II” to drugi studyjny album zespołu. The Beta Band zwerbowali do prac nad płytą uznanego brytyjskiego producenta Colina Emmanuela aka C-Swing, znanego m.in ze współpracy z Mary J. Blige. Krążek otrzymał bardzo wysokie oceny m.in od Pitchfork, NME, Q, znalazł się też w słynnym rankingu “1001 płyt które musisz usłyszeć przed śmiercią”. Limitowana edycja płyty.
