"Arthur" pomyślany był przez Ray’a Davisa jako ścieżka dźwiękowa do programu telewizyjnego, który jednak nigdy nie trafił na antenę. To dwupłytowe wydawnictwo zostało wzbogacone o miksy mono i stereo, wcześniej niepublikowane nagrania, alternatywne wersje znanych utworów, sesje ze studia BBC oraz krótkie wywiady z zespołem.
