Arcydzieło uwielbianej w Polsce grupy Marillion z czasów, gdy wokalistą formacji był charyzmatyczny Szkot Derek William Dick, zwany Fishem. Album "Misplaced Childhood" ukazał się w 1986 roku i zdobył szczyt brytyjskiego notowania (spędził na liście aż 41 tygodni). Platyną pokrył się na Wyspach oraz w Niemczech. Wyprodukowaną przez Chrisa Kimseya płytę grupa nagrała w legendarnych berlińskich Hansa Studios. To właśnie z "Misplaced Childhood" pochodzą dwa największe singlowe hity kapeli, "Kayleigh" (numer dwa w Wielkiej Brytanii) oraz "Lavender" (pozycja piąta). To pierwsza płyta koncepcyjna Marillion.
