"Nie wiem dlaczego tak się nudzisz, ale ja też tak się czuję na myśl o pracy z tobą. Wygląda to tak jak byśmy codziennie chodzili do biura i robili w kółko te same rzeczy". "Dokładnie. Muzyka jest bez sensu. Potrzebujemy odnaleźć jakiś większe znaczenie w tym co robimy, aby móc kontynuować" – powiedziała Karin. Ta konwersacja stała się pretekstem do powstania "Shaking the Habitual: Live at Terminal 5". Po siedmiu latach występów na scenie jako duet, zespół The Knife przekształcił się w 11-osobową trupę taneczną. "W trakcie powstawania "Shaking the Habitual" zdaliśmy sobie sprawę, że nadszedł czas, aby zakwestionować koncept The Knife w szerszym jego znaczeniu. Musieliśmy odnaleźć nową drogę, aby móc robić to co chcemy i być tym czym chcemy być. Doceniając to, co udało nam się do tej pory osiągnąć w sensie komercyjnym, jednocześnie poszukując odmiany. Rozmowy o poszukiwaniu głębszego sensu oraz potrzebie odczuwania radości z pracy zaczęły pojawiać się dość regularnie i dotyczyły naszych występów na żywo" - mówi Olof. Kuratorka i przyjaciółka zespołu, Kim Einarsson, zasugerowała pewnego dnia "żeby zamiast powtarzać w kółko stereotypowe granie muzyki elektronicznej – w postaci dwóch osób stojących za laptopem – zacząć tańczyć na scenie w trakcie występów". W taki sposób narodziła się koncepcja trasy "Shaking the Habitual" z Einarsson odpowiedzialną za oprawę taneczną i Anną Efraimsson w roli koordynatorki kreatywnej całego projektu. Zespół zaprosił również do współpracy designerkę Bella Runę, która zaprojektowała specjalne instrumenty, które miały być wizualnym odzwierciedleniem muzyki. Pod koniec trasy, na jesieni 2014 r., do grupy dołączyła fotografka Alexa Vachon, która za pomocą swojego obiektywu uwieczniła najważniejsze momenty tej niezwykłej podróży. Tracklista: 1.
