"New Facts Emerge" to trzydziesty drugi studyjny album The Fall. Przynosi jedenaście piosenek, za produkcję których odpowiedzialny jest duet Kieron Melling i Mark E. Smith, a całość realizował Ding. Szatę graficzną przygotowała Pamela Vander. The Fall słynie z niezwykłej produktywności. Oprócz płyt studyjnych, mają na koncie trzy razy tyle albumów koncertowych i różnych kompilacji. Powstali w Manchesterze w 1976 roku, a jedynym stałym członkiem zespołu jest Mark E. Smith. Choć na przestrzeni lat dochodziło do kilku stylistycznych zmian, zawsze muzykę The Fall charakteryzowały ostre gitarowe brzmienia, częste powtórzenia, podparte charakterystycznym głosem Smitha i często tajemniczymi tekstami. Obecnie skład The Fall tworzą: Mark E. Smith (śpiewa); Peter Greenway (gitara, klawisze, chórki); Dave Spurr (bas, Mellotron, chórki) oraz Kieron Melling (perkusja).

Uważa się, że oba wydawnictwa się uzupełniają. "The Power to Believe" jest albumem koncepcyjnym, może być nawet uważany za swoistą rockową operę. Album został bardzo dobrze przyjęty przez krytykę. Płyta prezentuje nieco uproszczone, w stosunku do bardziej wyrafinowanych utworów King Crimson, brzmienie.
