Oryginalny album z 1986 roku jest już ponownie dostępny. "Sleng Teng" to prawdziwa historia i wydarzenie, które wywróciło do góry nogami muzykę reggae. Obok muzyków Cleveland "Clevie" Browne i Wycliffe "Steely" Johnson, Super Power All-Stars i Noel Davey, Wayne Smith rozpoczął erę cyfrową dla muzyki jamajskiej, nagranej i zmiksowanej przez Prince'a Jammy'ego, który później został przemianowany na King Jammy. Riddim "Sleng Teng" powstał na Casio MT-40, a niektórzy twierdzą, że inspiruje go riff z "Somethin 'Else" Eddiego Cochrana. Jest to jeden z najbardziej samplowanych utworów w Dancehall-Reggae i jest również wykorzystywany w utworach i remiksach M.I.A., Robyn, Arcade Fire, The Prodigy, Cypress Hill i wielu innych.
