Trzeci studyjny album bardzo obiecującej formacji z Nashville, All Them Witches. Choć pochodzą ze stolicy country, z tym gatunkiem nie mają wiele wspólnego. Specjalnością kwartetu jest ciężki, hipnotyczny, psychodeliczny rock z dodatkiem bluesa i rockowego feelingu z amerykańskiego Południa. Zdecydowana większość piosenek z płyty „Dying Surfer Meets His Maker” została nagrana przez zespół „na setkę”.Produkcją zajęli się Mikey Allred oraz gitarzysta All Them Witches, Ben McLeod. Nagrania odbyły się w małej mieścinie w stanie Tennessee, Pigeon Forge, często odwiedzanej przez turystów z uwagi na słynny park rozrywki Dollywood. Album promowała między innymi piosenka „Open Passages”.Album nagrał zespół All Them Witches w składzie: Charles Michael Parks, Jr. (wokal, gitara basowa), Ben McLeod (gitara), Allan Van Cleave (klawisze) i Robby Staebler (perkusja).
