Multiinstrumentalista. Pianista, akordeonista, perkusista, kompozytor, producent muzyczny. Urodził się w Tel Avivie, od 20 lat mieszka w Anglii. Od dziewiątego roku życia uczył się gry na fortepianie w konserwatorium, później na perkusji (m.in. W The David Rich Drumming School). Grał w zespole punkowym (wykonywali covery po hebrajsku), szybko zainteresował się jazzem, był członkiem pierwszego w Izrealu zespołu haevy metalowego. Od 1994 roku został sesyjnym perkusistą, od 1999 roku pisze i nagrywa własną muzykę. Chwalony za niespożytą energię i dzikość, wielką wyobraźnię muzyczną i witalność. Jeden z najbardziej cenionych muzyków sceny neoklezmerskiej. W jego graniu obecne są elementy jazzu (spod znaku free), funky, etno, muzyki cygańskiej, metalowej, progresywnego rocka. Shirley Horn (ur. 1 maja 1934 – zm. 20 października 2005), była amerykańską wokalistką i pianistką jazzową. Współpracowała z wieloma wybitnymi osobistościami jazzu, takimi jak: Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Toots Thielemans, Ron Carter, Carmen McRae, czy Wynton Marsalis. Jedną z charakterystycznych cech artystki była nieprawdopodobna wręcz swoboda, z jaką akompaniowała sobie podczas śpiewania. Aranżer Johnny Mandel porównał tę sztukę do "posiadania dwóch umysłów". Według Quincy’ego Jonesa, Shirley Horn uwodziła mocnym, a jednocześnie miękkim i nieco zachrypniętym kontraltem.
