Wykładał na University of Wisconsin, Antioch College i innych uczelniach. Laureat NEA Jazz Masters Award 1990.
Trio zadebiutowało jako spontaniczny skład na Oslo’s Blow Out! Festival w 2013 roku. Ich występ został wtedy uznany za jedno z najciekawszych i najważniejszych wydarzeń festiwalu. Dla muzyków było już wtedy jasne, że chcą kontynuować współpracę.Mette Rasmussen jest artystką poszukującą – nieustannie sprawdza, jakie możliwości ma dźwięk, próbuje różnych technik, a w efekcie rozszerza gramatykę instrumentu. Amerykański „Downbeat” ogłosił ją „młodą skandynawską sensacją saksofonu”. „The Wire” dostrzegł w niej artystkę, która „porusza się na krawędzi kontrolowanego liryzmu”. Vebopspokenhere, UK widzi ją w ekstraklasie młodych improwizatorów.Alan Silva - amerykański multiinstrumentalista, kontrabasista i klawiszowiec. Jeden z najbardziej twórczych i nowatorskich jazzowych kontrabasistów. W czasie swojej wieloletniej kariery zyskał opinię innowacyjnego improwizatora. Współpracował z takimi gwiazdami awangardy jak Cecil Taylor, Sun Ra, Albert Ayler, Suny Murray, Frank Wright, Bill Dixon czy Archie Shepp, Johannes Bauer i Roger Turner. W 1964 uczestniczył w nowojorskim festiwalu October Revolution in Jazz jako pionier ruchu free jazz. Nagrywał z Albertem Aylerem płytę Live in Greenwich Village. W 1969 roku przeniósł się z Nowego Jorku do Paryża gdzie założył i kierował gwiazdorską The Celestrial Communication Orchestra, grupę dedykowaną free jazzowi i eksperymentom muzycznym. W Paryżu założył również słynną szkołę Institute for Artistic & Cultural Perception, w której nauczał.Ståle Liavik Solberg - jest jedną z centralnych postaci sceny muzyki improwizowanej w Oslo. Gra w takich grupach jak VCDC, regularnie współpracuje z brytyjskim gitarzystą i zasłużonym promotorem muzyki free improv - Johnem Russellem, pianistą i keyboardzistą Jimem Bakerem, saksofonistą Martinem Küchenem czy kompozytorem i wiolonczelistą Fredrickiem Lonberg-Holmem. Solberg to również jedną z organizatorów festiwalu Blow Out! w Oslo. Kuratoruje to wydarzenie wspólnie z perkusistą Paalem Nilssen-Love.

Żaden z nas nie dorastał w Nowym Orleanie, Nowym Jorku czy Chicago, gdzie powstał Jazz i Free Jazz. Nie, my pochodzimy z różnych części Niemiec i wnosimy nasze Backgrounds i wpływy wraz z tym zespołem. Nasz koncerty organizujemy( kształtujemy ) całkowicie bez wytycznych i uzgodnień, innymi słowy całkowicie dowolnie bez sieci. Naturalnie to nic nowego, coś takiego istnieje od tysięcy lat. Ale pomimo to jest to muzyka lat 2010; wolne improwizacje jak biegun przeciwstawny do kontrolowanego świata w formie elektronicznej. Na szczęście istnieje takie miasto jak Berlin (gdzie my mieszkamy) i od pewnego czasu ta forma sztuki nie tylko utrzymywana jest przy życiu, lecz poza tym prezentuje niewiarygodnie świeży „niemiecko-europejski” styl. Wielu z naszych kolegów było pionierami na tym obszarze. Wraz z tą płytą został ostatecznie zapoczątkowany renesans niemieckiego Free Jazz’u. Życzymy wielu wrażeń podczas słuchania naszej płyty.
