Dwaj niekwestionowani mistrzowie kina ponownie zwarli szyki! Po sukcesie obrazu "Sin City" panowie Tarantino i Rodriquez stworzyli kolejne wyśmienite kinowe dzieło - składający się z dwóch filmów "Grindhouse" (polska premiera filmu 20. lipca). Część wyreżyserowana przez Tarantino nosi tytuł "Death Proof" i opowiada o samochodowym mordercy. Quentin jest nie tylko błyskotliwym reżyserem, ale też perfekcjonistą w doborze oprawy muzycznej do swoich obrazów, wychodzi bowiem z założenia, że jej rola jest tak samo istotna dla odbioru przekazu, jak sama treść. Nie inaczej jest i tym razem. Na soundtracku znalazły się klasyczne utwory z lat 60., 70., m.in "Jeepster" brytyjskiego zespołu T Rex, bluesowy "Staggolee" grupy Pacific Gas & Electric, "Down In Mexico" z repertuaru The Coasters czy "Good Love, Bad Love" legendarnego wykonawcy R&B - Eddiego Floyda. Na uwagę zasługuje również diaboliczny "Paranoia Prima", którego twórcą jest legendarny włoski kompozytor filmowy - Ennio Morricone. Piosenki są poprzetykane dialogami z filmu; usłyszymy m.in. głosy Russella, Rose McGowan, Eliego Rotha i Michaela Bacalla
