Four years after the recording of the opus 4 (Pass 944, which received numerous awards, including Diapason d’or), the italian baroque ensemble la Divina Armonia and the organist Lorenzo Ghielmi propose a second set of organ concertos, composed by Handel in 1740.This second set include the famous Cuckoo and the Nightingale concert. The CD is enhanced by the wonderful oboe concerto in g minor, with Paolo Grazzi as soloist, and by the reconstruction of the Chacone HWV 343, a nice composition surviving in an incomplete manuscript, here presented as a world premiere recording.
