Ostatnia część trylogii mistrzów pop punka. "¡Tré!" to znakomite podsumowanie tego wyjątkowego muzycznego przedsięwzięcia, różniące się od dwóch wcześniejszych krążków.Billie Joe Armstrong tak opisał 12 piosenek, które składają się na album "¡Tré!": "Trzeci krążek jest bardziej refleksyjny od dwóch poprzednich. To coś, jak muzyka stworzona na kacu. W pewnym stopniu jest to też epicka płyta. Nigdy nie zaczynaliśmy albumu od ballady, a na tym tak właśnie jest".Materiał został nagrany w tym samym czasie, co piosenki na pierwszą i drugą część trylogii. Green Day pracowali w studiu w kalifornijskim Oakland, zaś w produkcji wspomógł ich sprawdzony współpracownik, Rob Cavallo. Tradycyjnie na drugiej gitarze zagrał od lat pomagający Green Day Jason White. W studiu pojawił się też Tom Kitt, który odpowiadał za aranżację smyczków. Wśród utworów znajdziemy między innymi społecznie zaangażowaną "99 Revolutions". Oddajmy głos Billy'emu Joe: "Popieram to, że ludzie bogaci powinni płacić większe podatki. Jestem również za darmową służbą zdrowia. W wielu krajach przecież tak się dzieje, na przykład w Niemczech. Wprawdzie Ameryka jest rozległym państwem, lecz wszyscy ludzie czegoś takiego potrzebują. To jest coś koniecznego. Moim zdaniem rząd powinien przejąć inicjatywę i zapewnić opiekę zdrowotną. O tym jest właśnie piosenka »99 Revolutions«. Klasa pracująca powinna mieć, według mnie, więcej do powiedzenia". W zestawie znajdziemy także piosenkę "The Forgotten", która trafiła na ścieżkę dźwiękową do ostatniej części przebojowej sagi "Zmierzch" - "Saga Zmierzch: Przed świtem cz. 2" (premiera 16 listopada 2012) i była singlem promującym ją. Płyta z koszulką w rozmiarze L.
