W ciągu ostatnich lat zespół Vintage Trouble porywał publiczność na całym świecie otwierając koncerty Rolling Stonesów, czy występując na trasach koncertowych zespołów The Who i AC/DC. Na pierwszym albumie nagranym dla wytwórni Blue Note Records, ten pochodzący z Los Angeles zespół złożony z czterech muzyków: wokalisty Ty Taylora, gitarzysty Nalle Colta, basisty Ricka Barrio Dilla i perkusisty Richarda Danielsona zaprezentował pełne energii nagrania w stylu rhythm & blues. To doskonała mieszanka bluesa, soulu i opartego na ostrych riffach rock and rolla.Na albumie „1 Hopeful Rd” udało się uchwycić znaną z koncertów emocjonalną intensywność połączoną z prostą, ale niepozbawioną wyrafinowania muzykalnością, która spowodowała, że „New York Times” nazwał ich dzisiejszym odpowiednikiem Otisa Reddinga, a BBC Radio 6 określiło grupę tytułem „bohaterów muzyki rhythm and blues”.
