Early James pochodzi z Alabamy i jest najnowszym artystą, który trafił do wytwórni Easy Eye Sound należącej do Dana Auerbacha. Jego debiutancki album "Singing for My Supper" wypełnia gęsty blues, tęskny folk i klasyczny popowy śpiew w wykonaniu wokalisty, który potrafi wydać z siebie chropowaty krzyk, ale i delikatny, słodki szept. Swe inspiracje czerpie od Fiony Apple, Toma Waitsa i gotyckich poetów z Południa USA, co słychać w mrocznych i pełnych czarnego humoru utworach jak "Blue Pill Blues" (o nagłym odstawieniu leków antydepresyjnych), "High Horse" (o rozczarowaniu dorosłym życiem) czy "Easter Eggs" (o ciemnych stronach tego, co odziedziczył). Jim Jarmusch directs this rock documentary featuring Neil Young and his band Crazy Horse on tour in 1996. As well as concert performances, Jarmusch includes behind-the-scenes footage and interviews filmed between 1976 and 1986. Tracks include 'Like a Hurricane', 'Tonight's the Night' and 'Chief Crazy Horse'. Longtime Neil Young producer, the late David Briggs, came up with the idea for the film, and the title refers to a comment he made to the singer shortly before his death: 'this is the year of the horse. All you have to do now is get closer and closer to the source. Keep getting purer and purer.'
