Projekt „Kaas Chante Piaf” (Kaas śpiewa Piaf) pierwotnie miał być serią koncertów. Patricia Kaas zdecydowała się jednak na wydanie studyjnego albumu. Płyta, na której znajdują się największe przeboje Edith Piaf, jest hołdem dla znakomitej francuskiej piosenkarki.  Aranżacją  utworów, które znalazły się na płycie, zajął się Abel Korzeniowski, nowe cudowne dziecko hollywoodzkiej sceny muzycznej, dwukrotnie nominowany do Złotego Globu za muzykę do filmu Toma Forda „Samotny mężczyzna” („A Single man”) w 2010 roku oraz do filmu Madonny „W.E.” (2012).
