"I've Tortured You Long Enough" to ironiczny tytuł drugiego albumu Mass Gothic, który ukazuje się nakładem Sub Pop. Mass Gothic tworzą Noel Heroux i Jessica Zambri (prywatnie są małżeństwem). Zawsze zanurzali się w swoich przestrzeniach twórczych, doradzając sobie wzajemnie i wspierali się. Jednak do czasu powstania tego albumu nigdy nie zaangażowali się całkowicie w tworzenie całego materiału w duecie. Rezultatem jest nowe wydawnictwo pełne napięcia, chaosu i piękna, płynnej i katarktycznej, dwukierunkowej rozmowy. We wszechświecie, który w coraz większym stopniu zagraża naszym zdolnościom do komunikowania się i współistnienia, ich twórcza jedność jest nie tylko natchnieniem. Heroux i Zambri pracowali nad "I've Tortured You Long Enough" gdy przemieszczali się po kraju bez stałego miejsca, które mogliby nazwać domem. Od wynajętej kabiny w Nowym Jorku, poprzez życie w samochodu z walizką pełną ubrań, aż do spotkania z koproducentem albumu Joshem Ascalonem w Los Angeles, odrzucenie pierwotnie zmiksowanej wersji albumu i ponowne nagranie całości, zespół pracował niestrudzenie, podczas gdy ich życie było całkowicie płynne. Album został ostatecznie nagrany w Brooklynie z Rickiem Kwanem, a Chris Coady zmiksował płytę i Heba Kadry zmasterował ją.
