Ars Choralis Coeln and Maria Jonas’s music-historical Rhine journey leads from the area around Cologne to other centers of the cult of the Virgin Mary on the Upper Rhine as well as to the Netherlands. Particularly fortuitous for this CD has proven to be the consideration of the manuscript MS Berlin 190, which, with its trove of Netherlandish and Latin songs, provided insight into the extremely diverse music and poetry of a Devotia Moderna convent around 1500.

Kiedy ich album "Moon Safari" pod koniec 1998 roku znalazł się na listach TOP 10 wszystkich liczących się magazynów muzycznych, sprzedał w nakładzie ponad mln sztuk na świecie , kiedy jego fragmenty zostały użyte w programach TV i filmach, wydawało się, że następnym krokiem będzie produkcja czegoś, czego ludzie się po AIR spodziewali. Ale Nicolas Godin i Jean-Benoit Dunckel nie dali się zwieść pokusie sukcesu. Odkąd wydali "Moon Safari" są w niekończącej się drodze w poszukiwaniu nowych brzmień, dźwięków. W 1999 współpracowali z Sofii Coppola przy filmie Virgin Suicides. Wymagał on od nich stworzenia muzyki, która ilustrowałaby różnorodność uczuć i nastrojów, które się w nim pojawiają. To , co udało im się osiągnąć przeszło najśmielsze oczekiwania wszystkich. Muzyka na płycie "The Virgin Suicides" nazywana jest przez miłośników zespołu "Dark Side Of The Moon Safari" Na nowym albumie "10 000 Hz. Legend" chłopaki poszli po tropach, które wytyczyło "Virgin Suicides". Ale to, co na soundtracku było delikatnie dotknięte, tu nabrało pełnego rozkwitu. Płyta pełna jest spontaniczności i dziwnych "odjazdów". Weźmy na przykład kawałek " Wonder MilkyBitch", na którym Nicolas przypomina sobie o ukradkowych spotkaniach, ( gdy był nastolatkiem) pełnych sexualnych pokus, otwierający płytę "Eletronic Performers" jest kpiną z wizerunku "elektronicznych Króli" , jakim obdarzyły AIR europejskie media. Album był nagrywany głównie w Paryżu na początku 2000, piosenki rodziły się jedna za drugą , były nagrywane spontanicznie, często od razu w całości. W Los Angeles chłopaki dodali orkiestrowe aranże , które słychać w kilku utworach. Tam też spotkali kilku starych przyjaciół, którzy dołożyli swoje przysłowiowe "5 groszy" do całości: Brian Reitzell (Red Kross) zagrał na perkusji, Beck zaśpiewał na "The Vagabond" i "Don't Be Light" , Sugar i Yumiko (Buffalo Daughter) wzięli udział w nagraniu "Sex Born Poison". Wraz z końcem lata zakończyła się praca nad płytą , którą zmiksował Tony Hoffer.
