The Complete Albums Collection" Folkowo-rockowa formacja Buffalo Springfield istniała krótko, nagrała tylko trzy studyjne albumy, ale odcisnęła silne piętno w historii rocka. W zespole grali między innymi Neil Young i Stephen Stills, którzy później zdobyli sławę w Crosby, Stills, Nash And Young oraz na własny rachunek. Wszystkie studyjne płyty Buffalo Springfield zostały zremasterowane i ukazały się w boxie o tytule "What's That Sound? The Complete Albums Collection". Wydania zremasterowane przygotowano z okazji jubileuszu 50-lecia ostatniego koncertu Buffalo Springfield. Występ odbył się 5 maja 1968 roku. Wtedy grupa miała już na koncie płyty "Buffalo Springfield", "Buffalo Springfield Again", a "Last Time Around" ukazała się pare tygodni po pożegnalnym koncercie, 30 lipca. Remastering nagrań przeprowadzono na podstawie oryginalnych analogowych taśm. Proces osobiście nadzorował Neil Young.
