Alphaville "Singles Collection" składa się  z czterech singli - „Forever Young” i „Big in Japan” z albumu "Forever Young" oraz „Red Rose” i „Dance With Me” z albumu "Afternoons in Utopia". Każdy z singli ma dwie wersje, jedną krótką i jedną długą; niektóre nowe i niektóre stare. Jest to  Alphaville w najlepszym wydaniu. Niektóre z przeróbek są naprawdę fantastyczne - „specjalny rozszerzony mix” „Forever Young” przekształca dramatyczny niepokój oryginału w strzelisty, triumfalny hymn, wszystko bez zmiany tekstu lub wykonania, podczas gdy wersja albumowa pojawia się również dla kontrastu. „Red Rose” pozwala Marianowi Goldowi  odnieść sukces w naśladowaniu Bryana Ferry'ego dzięki fuzji soul / Eurodisco, podczas gdy „Dance With Me” wzmacnia syntezatorowy pop w obu wcieleniach. „Big in Japan” to kolejny powód, by tu być, jest to  tajemnicza opowieść o prostytucji jest zakotwiczona w rytmicznym, dudniącym rytmie (i bezprogowym basie, prawdopodobnie hołd dla japońskiego zespołu) i obdarzona mocnym refrenem.
