Kapitalny prezent dla miłośników contry i country rocka! Oto zestaw pierwszych pięciu albumów postaci absolutnie wyjątkowej na amerykańskiej scenie country, muzyka, kompozytora, producenta, laureata Grammy i cenionego aktora Dwighta Yoakama. Zaczyna się od debiutu "Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc., Etc." z 1986 roku, który od razu wyniósł Dwighta na szczyty popularności. Album dotarł do pierwszej pozycji na country'owym "Billboardzie" i przyniósł doskonałe piosenki Yoakama, jak "Bury Me" w duecie z Marią McKee, "Guitars, Cadillacs", "It Won't Hurt", a także świetny cover "Ring Of Fire" Johnny'ego Casha. Dobrą passę Dwight kontynuował drugim krążkiem, "Hillbilly Deluxe" z 1987 roku. Był to drugi jego numer jeden na country'owym "Billboardzie". Płytę zdominowały autorskie piosenki Yoakama, ale największą furorę zrobił świetny cover "Little Sister", kawałka śpiewanego kiedyś przez Elvisa Presleya. Trzeci kolejny numer jeden Dwighta na country'owym "Billboardzie" to wydany w 1988 roku krążek "Buenas Noches From A Lonely Room". Artysta dostąpił zaszczytu nagrania duetu z legendą country, Buckiem Owensem. Piosenka o tytule "Streets Of Bakersfield" oraz "I Sang Dixie" okazały się największymi przebojami z wydawnictwa. Słaba forma zawsze musi kiedyś przyjść. W przypadku Yoakama ujawniła się ona na płycie "If There Was A Way" z 1990 roku. Aczkolwiek znalazło się tu parę udanych piosenek, jak choćby singlowe "Turn It On, Turn It Up, Turn Me Loose" oraz "You're The One". Ostatnia pozycja w zestawie to płyta "This Time" z 1993 roku, zwiastująca powrót artysty do wielkiej formy. Z tego krążka pochodzą bardzo udane kompozycje "Ain't That Lonely Yet", "A Thousand Miles From Nowhere" oraz "Fast As You".
