The Sydney Symphony Orchestra performs live at the Sydney Opera House gala opening night in 1973. Joined by soprano Birgit Nilsson and conductor Charles Mackerras, the orchestra performs a selection of pieces from Wagner's 'Götterdämmerung' including 'Siegfried's Journey' and 'Funeral March'.
