Masha Qrella urodziła się w połowie lat siedemdziesiątych we wschodnim Berlinie. Jest córką rosyjskiego fizyka oraz niemieckiej lekarki pracującej nad problemami związanymi z zaburzeniami snu. Jako nastolatka zaczęła grywać w pierwszych szkolnych zespołach, a pod koniec lat dziewięćdziesiątych zjeździła Europę z zespołami Mina i Contriva. W roku 2002 podpisała kontrakt z małą niezależną berlińską oficyną - Monika Enterprise, wydając w niej swój pierwszy autorski album zatytułowany "Luck". Kolejne płyty "Unsolved Remained", "Speak Low – Loewe And Weill In Exile", "Analogies" i "Keys" ukazały się nakładem Morr Music. Unikalne brzmienie swoich płyt zawdzięcza rodzinnemu domowi i znajdującemu się w nim małemu studiu nagraniowemu - Villa Qrella. Jesienią 2016 roku Masha była gościem specjalnym Korteza, z którym zagrała ponad 30 koncertów w Polsce. Masha i Kortez ponownie spotkają się 10 września 2017 roku podczas specjalnego koncertu w ramach Festiwalu Czterech Kultur w Łodzi, gdzie wykonają premierowy materiał składający się z utworów wspólnie napisanych podczas ubiegłorocznej jesiennej trasy Korteza. 8 września 2017 roku nakładem Jazzboy Records ukaże "Keys", który promuje utwór "Pale Days" do którego video zostało zmontowane z materiałów zarejestrowanych podczas jej polskich koncertów.
