The Brian Jonestown Massacre to psychodeliczny zespół rockowy pochodzący z San Francisco w Kalifornii, prowadzony przez gitarzystę i wokalistę Antona Newcombe. Od 1995 roku The Brian Jonestown Massacre wydała wiele albumów. BTo kapela która miała olbrzymi udział w rozwoju nowoczesnej sceny garażowej w USA, a wielu muzyków L.A. i SF zaczęło grać z Newcombem - choćby Peter Hayes z Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Taśmy-matki zouległy zniszczeniu po pierwszym wydaniu tej płyty, źródło użyte do uzyskania i ponownego wydania tych nagrań nie miało dobrej jakości taśmy, ale wszystko zostało zrobione, aby to wydanie miało dobrą jakość dźwięku.
