Zespół Blackmore's Night powstał w drugiej połowie lat 90. Jego twórcą jest były gitarzysta Deep Purple, Ritchie Blackmore, który do współpracy namówił swoją partnerkę, wokalistkę Candice Night. W odróżnieniu od swojej wcześniejszej twórczości, Blackmore postanowił połączyć pod nowym szyldem muzykę renesansową z rockiem.Debiutancka płyta grupy, zatytułowana "Shadow Of The Moon", ukazała się w 1997 roku. Krążek przez 17 tygodni utrzymywał się w zestawieniu najlepiej sprzedających się płyt w Niemczech, a w Japonii pokrył się złotem. Swoje 30-lecie legendarna formacja Motörhead uczciła specjalnym koncertem w londyńskiej Hammersmith Apollo. Odbył się 16 czerwca 2005 roku, a jego zapis na dwóch płytach, ukazał się 16 lipca 2007 roku.
