Włoski zespół reggae Mellow Mood oficjalnie debiutował w 2009 roku wydawnictwem „Move!”, wyprodukowanym przez Paolo Baldiniego, który później stał się dźwiękowcem zespołu. Album osiągnął nieoczekiwany międzynarodowy sukces. Po zmianach w składzie Mellow Mood wrócił do studia razem z Baldinim co zaowocowało albumem „Well Well Well”, który został wydany w 2012 roku przez najważniejszą niezależną wytwórnię La Tempesta. Poruszając się płynnie między takimi gatunkami jak roots-reggae, rocksteady i tribal clubbing Mellow Mood stał się protagonistą nowej generacji artystów reggae. Mellow Mood wydał dwa albumy "Twinz" (2014) i "2 The World" (2015) będące zamkniętym cyklem. Wyprodukowane przez Paolo Baldiniego i wydane przez La Tempesta zostały wzbogacone międzynarodowymi gośćmi (m.in. Tanyą Stephens, Jah9, Richie’em Campbell’em, Hempress’em Sativą, Sr. Wilsonen i Forelockiem) odkrywając na nich z jeszcze większą świadomością najświeższe jamajskie brzmienie - muzykę roots. Album "Large" jest pomostem między wczesnymi i najnowszymi piosenkami Mellow Mood, za sprawą melancholijnych tonacji i melodii. Podczas gdy światowa scena pop hołduje zyskowi i konsumpcji jako jedynym wyznacznikom osobistej satysfakcji, Mellow Mood płytą "Large" sytuuje się z dala od tłumów, odwołując się do bardziej świadomego życia, wstrzemięźliwego, nie podporządkowanego regułom rynku, bardziej wyzwolonego.
