Zespół America świętuje pół wieku działalności, wydając kompilację, która podsumowuje podróż laureatów Grammy na listy przebojów i do serc niezliczonych fanów. Wydawnictwo "50th Anniversary: The Collection" ukazuje się w formatach 1 CD, 3CD, 2LP i cyfrowym. Gerry Beckley, Dewey Bunnell i Dan Peek zaczęli muzyczną przygodę w 1970 roku jako młode, otwarte trio, które wylansowało przebój "A Horse With No Name". Piosenka, która dotarła na 1. miejsce listy przebojów, doprowadziła do współpracy z legendarnym producentem George'em Martinem (The Beatles), z którym America nagrała kolejne hity. Zespół zyskał sympatię fanów dzięki autentyczności: trzech zdolnych muzyków postanowiło po prostu nagrywać smutne, pełne harmonii, szczere piosenki. "W tym, co robiliśmy nie było grama kunktatorstwa" zapewnia Dewey Bunnell.
