Winylowa wersja płytowego wydawnictwa twórców niezapomnianych albumów "Core" i "Purple", legendarnej kalifornijskiej formacji Stone Temple Pilots. Płyta nosi taki sam tytuł jak poprzedniczka z 2010 roku, "Stone Temple Pilots", a partie wokalne na nią nabrał muzyk zespołu, Jeff Gutt. Laureaci Grammy, którzy mogą się pochwalić blisko 20 mln sprzedanych płyt w samych Stanach Zjednoczonych, nie byli w ostatnich latach rozpieszczani przez los. Reaktywacja z charyzmatycznym Scottem Weilandem została brutalnie przerwana przez śmierć wokalisty, a z jego następcą Chesterem Benningtonem (Linkin Park) nie udało się rozwinąć skrzydeł. Jednak bracia Dean i Robert DeLeo oraz Eric Kretz nie zamierzali się poddawać i postanowili znaleźć kolejnego frontmana. Wybór padł na Jeffa Gutta (pojawił się w amerykańskiej wersji talent show "X Factor"), którym muzycy są zachwyceni. Dodajmy, że zanim zdobył pracę w STP, w pokonanym polu zostawił aż 15 tys. konkurentów! "Szukaliśmy nie tylko kogoś, kto da radę z naszym starym materiałem, ale i kogoś, kto będzie tworzył z nami nowe piosenki. Trochę nam to zajęło, w końcu jednak znaleźliśmy naszego wokalistę" – wyjaśniał Dean DeLeo (gitara). "Jesteśmy podekscytowani tym, co na nas czeka. Najlepszym dla nas środkiem do uczczenia naszej wspaniałej przeszłości jest tworzenie nowej muzyki" – dodawał. A muzyka laureatów Grammy jest naprawdę wysokiej klasy. Dowodzą tego pierwsze opublikowane piosenki z imiennego albumu, "Meadow" i "Never Enough", które przywodzą na myśl najwspanialsze momenty ze wspomnianych kultowych i multiplatynowych albumów "Core" (1992) i "Purple" (1994), a także "No. 4" (1999).
